The GreenTech Difference: All-Electric and Organic Landscaping:
To have a healthy lawn, you need a healthy soil.
Organic lawn care focuses on growing a healthy lawn because a healthy lawn is the best protection against weeds, insects and diseases.
To have a healthy soil, you need to avoid the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers to ensure you are using the best organic products out there. One of the keys is to feed your lawn with natural and organic fertilizers that not only help to grow a beautiful, green lawn, but also one that is safe for kids and pets.
Here's what makes us unique:
We're a local husband and wife owned landscaping company. After a personal loss to cancer (my wife was previously widowed) we began to research environmental causes. We started GreenTech Landscaping because we were tired of using chemicals and poison on our yard and through the years have found a safer, more effective, and sustainable way
We're a local husband and wife owned landscaping company. After a personal loss to cancer (my wife was previously widowed) we began to research environmental causes. We started GreenTech Landscaping because we were tired of using chemicals and poison on our yard and through the years have found a safer, more effective, and sustainable way. We are now ready to share what we've learned with our neighbors and community!
Our desire is to create beautiful, safe outdoor spaces for you, your loved ones, and our community. With our own large family and cherished pets, as well as a passion to be good stewards of God's creation, we have seen firsthand the benefits of what we are calling "going Green." Recently we recognized the urgent need to transform traditional landscaping practices here in the Pacific Northwest. Our passion is to protect one of your most precious assets—your health—while preserving the beauty of nature.

Nurture Your Lawn with Thoughtful Watering
Keep your lawn vibrant by incorporating regular watering into your care routine, especially during warmer months. How often you water depends on factors like grass type, soil (such as sandy or clay), and local rainfall.
Water Deeply for Strong Roots
In spring, when your lawn starts to look thirsty, give it about an inch of water to encourage deep rooting. This helps your grass stay healthy and better resist pests and diseases. In summer, switch to lighter, more frequent watering to keep it refreshed.
Water Smart in the Early Morning
The best time to water is early morning, when it’s cooler, so less water evaporates, and the grass dries quickly. Avoid evening watering, as wet leaves overnight can invite disease. Make sure to water at a pace the soil can soak up to avoid waste.
Elevate Your Lawn with Expert Mowing Practices
GreenTech can help transform your lawn into a lush, healthy masterpiece with these refined mowing techniques, designed to promote vitality and sustainability while enhancing natural beauty, or apply them yourself.
Maintain Razor-Sharp Mower Blades
GreenTech constantly sharpens blades to deliver clean, precise cuts. This prevents tearing the grass, which can invite disease, keeping your lawn vibrant and resilient.
Embrace Taller Grass for a Thriving Lawn
Resist the temptation to cut your grass too short. Maintaining a height of approximately 3 to 3.5 inches fosters stronger turf that naturally suppresses weeds and remove no more than one-third of the grass height at a time, promoting steady growth. With GreenTechs organic care, you’ll find mowing needs decrease over time, saving you money.
Recycle Clippings for Nutrient-Rich Results
Opt for a mulching to return grass clippings to your lawn, where they decompose to supply up to 30% of its annual nutritional needs. When mowed correctly, clippings blend seamlessly into the turf, avoiding thatch buildup or unsightly clumps. Pairing this practice with organic fertilizers further minimizes thatch, ensuring a pristine, healthy lawn.
Optimize Your Lawn’s Health with Balanced Soil pH
Unlock the full potential of your lawn by maintaining ideal soil pH, ensuring your grass thrives with access to essential nutrients for a lush, vibrant appearance.
Ideal pH Range for Lush Growth
Most lawns flourish in a soil pH range of 6.0 to 7.0, where nutrients are most readily available to grass. When pH falls outside this range, nutrient uptake diminishes, hindering your lawn’s vitality. Easily monitor your soil’s pH with a test kit, available through GreenTech or at most garden centers.
Adjusting Soil pH for Optimal Results
If your soil tests acidic (pH too low), GreenTech can gently restore balance by applying lime to raise the pH, promoting a healthier environment for growth. Conversely, if your soil is overly alkaline (pH too high), GreenTech can incorporate a sulfur-based product to lower the pH, ensuring your lawn can fully absorb vital nutrients.
